Economic Impact of Tideflats
Funded by the Manufacturing Industrial Council (MIC) for the South Sound, the Tacoma Tideflats project was conducted from January to June 2019 in collaboration with the University of Washington Schools of Engineering and Technology (SET) and Milgard School of Business (MSB). The Tacoma Tideflats is a hub of manufacturing, warehouse and maritime operations predominantly associated with the Port of Tacoma. However, it is also home to various non-Port of Tacoma companies.
